Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Full-Time | W-2 or 1099 | Ohio Skilled Nursing Facility
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric services to residents in a skilled nursing facility in Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
- Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications within Ohio scope of practice.
- Evaluate and manage behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia.
- Develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide recommendations and education to residents, families, and facility staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Promote appropriate and evidence-based use of psychotropic medications.
Qualifications:
- Current Ohio RN and APRN/NP license.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Prescriptive authority in Ohio.
- Current DEA registration, as applicable.
- Experience in geriatric psychiatry, skilled nursing, long-term care, or dementia care preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
