PMA-265 Product Developer

Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a Senior Operations Specialist to join our Team! This role is in support of PMA-265 and Airworthiness and CyberSafe Office (ACO) at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and execute the management and development of all flight clearance products to include F/A-18 Interim Flight Clearances (IFC), Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) and Naval Aviation Technical Information Product (NATIP). These products support the Fleet, Test Communities, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
  • Develop required content and facilitate Flight Clearance progression through engineering review for airworthiness approval, to include active management of flight clearance content and monitoring of status. Will serve as the point of contact for information regarding specific clearances for the F/A-18 and EA-18G platforms and includes producing data and inserting into an ePower Data Base and submitting Draft Interim Flight Clearances and data to Engineering Disciplines (Subject Matter Experts) for review, submission and release of final Interim Flight Clearances.
  • Coordinates weekly inputs for all planned and in-work interim and permanent flight clearances to support with Class Desks with decision quality data to establish priorities for all F-18 flight clearances. This includes providing customer support and resolution of customer problems to members of the National Airworthiness Team and their customers.
  • Receives, tracks, and processes flight clearance Naval messages and non-message center flight clearances, cancelations, and requests.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of experience. In lieu of a degree least 12 years of related experience in a business or technical related position is required.
  • Experience in flight clearance facilitation and/or DoD Aviation Operator, aircraft test and evaluation and/or aircraft maintenance is desired.
  • Experience with T&E of naval aircraft systems is desired. Specific experience in NAVAIR/NAWCAD processes and procedures is highly desired.
  • Experience with Common Message Processor (CMP) is highly desired.
  • Experience with ePower database document tracking software is also highly desired.
  • Experience in program management, technical, or business analysis discipline, related to weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management as specified in the DOD 5000 series is desired.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required for this role.
  • Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Candidate must be able to function efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and must be a self-starter.
  • Knowledge of the Flight Clearance Process is highly desired.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen. An active SECRET clearance is required.

Work Location: On-site

Compensation: $105,160.00 - $157,630.00. The salary range posted is for Maryland locations. The offered rate will be based on contract affordability, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
