Hotel Maintenance Technician / Engineer PM Shift

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This role is responsible for ensuring the hotel’s buildings, systems, and guest areas remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will perform both routine preventive maintenance and responsive repairs across rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas while delivering excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems.
  • Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and work orders to minimize disruption and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior grounds; identify and address issues proactively.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as air conditioning units, lighting, appliances, locks, doors, windows, and fixtures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, parts inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with emergency situations (e.g., water leaks, power outages, HVAC failures) and follow established safety and emergency protocols.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to schedule work efficiently and minimize impact on guests.
  • Ensure compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, fire codes, and hotel brand standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workshop and properly store tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall property operations.

Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry/painting.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift 3pm to 11pm including weekends.
  • This position will be 40 hours per week, 5 days a week working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each week.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Comfort working in various environments (indoors/outdoors, mechanical rooms, heights, varying temperatures).
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely.
