Project Manager - Battery Energy Storage Systems
Join our dynamic Engineering & Construction (E&C) Business Unit as a Project Manager specializing in utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This remote position offers the opportunity to work from anywhere, with occasional travel to Juno Beach, FL, a vibrant locale known for its beautiful beaches and sunny weather.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead advanced pre-construction planning and optimization for BESS projects, ensuring integration of engineering design, financial modeling, procurement strategy, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage coordination of project development teams to meet project schedules effectively.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive project development, including environmental, regulatory, and land acquisition aspects.
- Develop and optimize technical scopes to enhance project feasibility and financial viability.
- Support negotiations for Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and Generator Interconnection Agreements (GIA).
- Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement to support financial modeling and project design.
- Source, negotiate, and execute contracts for essential services like geotechnical, survey, and engineering.
- Communicate with Executive Leadership, Suppliers, Regulatory Agencies, and Local Communities.
- Ensure smooth project handover to Construction Project Managers with an executable construction plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering, economics, or construction preferred.
- Valid non-restricted driver's license.

- Technical experience with renewable energy projects, particularly in electricity markets, renewables, and battery projects.
