Position Overview:

The Plumbing Specialist Salesperson at High Country Ace Hardware combines expertise in plumbing with a passion for sales to provide exceptional customer service and drive business growth. This role involves assisting customers with plumbing product selection, offering expert advice, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Consultation: Engage with customers to understand their plumbing needs and provide tailored recommendations on products and solutions.
• Product Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of plumbing products, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, water heaters, and other related items. Stay updated on industry trends and new products.
• Sales Execution: Drive sales by effectively presenting and upselling plumbing products, addressing customer inquiries, and converting leads into purchases.
• Service and Support: Provide expert advice and troubleshooting support to customers, helping them make informed decisions and resolve any issues they may encounter.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage product displays, and ensure that the store is well-stocked with popular and high demand plumbing items.
• Training and Development: Assist in training new sales associates on plumbing products and sales techniques, contributing to a knowledgeable and effective team.
• Customer Follow-Up: Follow up with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns, and build long-term relationships.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Preferred proven experience in plumbing or a related field, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and components. Prior sales experience, particularly in a retail or hardware setting, is highly desirable. Must be available to work weekends. We are willing to train.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sales skills with a customer-focused approach.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing products and industry trends.
• Ability to troubleshoot plumbing-related issues and provide solutions.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry plumbing products and materials.
• Capable of standing for extended periods and working in a retail environment.

Work Environment:

• Primarily works in a retail or showroom setting
• May involve evening or weekend hours based on store needs and customer availability.
