PLUMBING SERVICE SALES MANAGER

Santa Ana, CA | Onsite | Full-Time

About Our Client

With over 20 years of experience, Our Client has protected thousands of residential, commercial, and government properties through a unique, patented pipe restoration process. As a leader in the plumbing and property services space, they are expanding their team and seeking a Plumbing Service Sales Manager who can drive revenue growth while leading a high-performing field team.

The Opportunity

This is a dual-role leadership position combining plumbing service management with sales leadership; a rare opportunity for an experienced operator who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise and revenue generation. The ideal candidate will mirror the success of Our Client’s previous manager, who owned both the sales function and the service team simultaneously. You will be the face of the division, responsible for building customer trust, developing technician upsell capabilities, and growing the California territory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop plumbing service technicians with a focus on upselling the right products and services to customers
  • Own business development and revenue growth for the plumbing service division across the California territory
  • Review and restructure service and warranty crew assignments as needed to maximize efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with dispatchers to optimize scheduling, minimize cancellations, and ensure assets are fully utilized
  • Implement and track KPIs to improve operational performance and team productivity
  • Manage departmental budgets, review and approve project estimates and invoices, and maintain cost controls
  • Monitor inventory, tools, and equipment availability to support uninterrupted service delivery
  • Coordinate across departments to resolve field issues and ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provide technical support and hands-on coaching to field technicians when required
  • Develop strong working relationships with crew members to understand team dynamics, identify strengths, and address areas for growth
  • Effectively communicate Our Client’s services and patented processes using a sales-driven approach in all customer and team interactions
  • Know when to step in directly and when to coach from the background to allow the team to develop professionally
  • Handle scheduling, inventory control, and field troubleshooting as needed

Education, Skills & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 4+ years as a Journeyman Plumber or active Journeyman License required; C-36 license is a strong plus
  • 8+ years of hands-on plumbing experience required
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of 8 or more individuals in the plumbing service industry
  • Proven track record in plumbing service operations with demonstrated ability to drive upsell and revenue growth
  • Strong sales background with the ability to lead and motivate field technicians to identify and close additional service opportunities
  • In-depth knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems, service operations, and local, state, and federal safety guidelines
  • High integrity with advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships with customers and crews
  • Outgoing, self-motivated personality suited for a fast-paced, goal-driven environment with a high degree of autonomy
  • Prior mentorship or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Valid California Driver’s License, clean driving history, dependable transportation, and ability to pass a background check
  • Proficient in MS Office and dispatch/service software (e.g., Housecall Pro or similar platforms)
  • Working proficiency in Spanish is a plus, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

Our Client offers a competitive compensation package including a higher base salary, performance-based bonus tied to KPIs, and strong first-year earnings potential with growth opportunity. Full comp details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Benefits include:
