The ideal candidate will have significant Purchasing experience specifically within the Plumbing or Mechanical contracting industry, with a strong understanding of Plumbing materials, fixtures, piping systems, vendors, and supply chain demands associated with Multifamily, Residential, and Light Commercial Construction projects. This role will be responsible for managing daily Plumbing material orders, coordinating Project Buyouts, maintaining Vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring field and project teams receive the correct materials on schedule and within budget.

Salary: $75,000 - $105,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement and material purchasing for a growing Mechanical and Plumbing contractor in Northern Virginia. This role will be responsible for managing daily Plumbing material orders, coordinating Project Buyouts, maintaining Vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring field and project teams receive the correct materials on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have significant Purchasing experience specifically within the Plumbing or Mechanical contracting industry, with a strong understanding of Plumbing materials, fixtures, piping systems, vendors, and supply chain demands associated with Multifamily, Residential, and Light Commercial Construction projects.

MUST HAVE:

• 5+ years of Purchasing or Procurement experience within Plumbing or Mechanical Contractors
• Strong knowledge of Plumbing materials, fixtures, piping, fittings, valves, water heaters, and related equipment
• Experience supporting Multifamily, Residential, and/or Light Commercial Construction projects
• Experience managing Plumbing material orders, Purchase Orders, and Project Buyouts
• Proven Vendor and Supplier relationship management experience
• Strong pricing negotiation and cost-control experience
• Ability to review Plumbing Drawings, Specifications, material requirements, and supplier quotes
• Experience coordinating material procurement around project schedules and field requirements
• Ability to manage purchasing needs, lead times, material availability, and deliveries across multiple active projects
• Ability to work primarily onsite in Northern Virginia

NICE TO HAVE:

• High-volume Multifamily Plumbing Construction experience
• Existing relationships with major Plumbing Suppliers and Manufacturers
• Experience overseeing complete Plumbing Project Buyouts
• Experience supporting Purchasing across multiple active Construction projects
• Experience developing preferred Vendor programs or negotiating volume pricing
• Experience improving procurement processes, purchasing controls, or inventory management
• HVAC or Mechanical equipment Purchasing experience
• Purchasing Team Leadership or Management experience
