Engineering firm providing professional engineering, design, inspection, and related consulting services for public and private sector clients is seeking a Plumbing and Fire Protection Design Engineer with 3 5 years of U.S. Consulting experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial, multifamily residential, hospitality, and institutional facilities, primarily in New York City and the Tri-State Area. Responsibilities include field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, equipment selection, system design, and construction administration. The ideal candidate will be organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and able to communicate effectively and mentor junior team members. Salary depends on experience. Responsibilities:
Conduct field investigations and evaluate existing building systems.
Perform engineering analyses and calculations, select equipment, and design plumbing and fire protection systems.
Work on commercial, multifamily residential, hospitality, healthcare, laboratory, and institutional projects.
Participate in construction administration activities.
Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines and trades.
Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and entry-level staff.
Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
