Plumbing Design Engineer

Complete Plumbing calculations and designs for hot and cold water, waste and vent, natural gas, and storm water systems. Projects include various types of medical facilities as well as office, retail, restaurant, multi-family, dental, religious and education.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Plumbing Design Engineer. The Plumbing Design Engineer will coordinate design components with a multi-disciplinary team. Projects include various types of medical facilities as well as office, retail, restaurant, multi-family, dental, religious and education.

Job Duties:
 

• Complete Plumbing calculations and designs for hot and cold water, waste and vent, natural gas, and storm water systems.
• Coordination with Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineers as well as architects.
• General knowledge of fire suppression systems is a plus.
• Specialized piping experience including Compressed Air and Medical Gas is a plus.
• Meeting/webinars with clients to coordinate plumbing systems with other project elements.
• Meeting with vendors to specify appropriate equipment.
• Managing and delivering revisions.
• Performing submittal/shop drawing reviews.
• Responding to RFIs.
• Conducting construction site reviews (as required).
• Preparing CAD/REVIT generated construction drawings and specifications.
• Supporting plumbing staff as required.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Revit Proficiency

Preferred:

• 2 plus years of plumbing design experience
