    Job Description:

    Job Summary:The HVAC Boiler Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and/or residential boiler systems. This role ensures heating systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair boiler systems, including gas, oil, and steam units
    • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in heating systems and perform necessary repairs
    • Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
    • Test system controls, safety devices, and components for proper operation
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
    • Respond to emergency service calls and perform timely repairs
    • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
    • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors
    • Recommend system upgrades or replacements when necessary

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
    • 2+ years of experience working with HVAC systems and boilers (commercial experience preferred)
    • Strong knowledge of boiler systems, piping, and controls
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
    • EPA certification (if handling refrigerants) preferred
    • Boiler operator or stationary engineer license (if required by state/local regulations)

    Work Environment:

    • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
    • Exposure to heat, noise, and mechanical hazards
    • May require on-call, weekend, or overtime hours
