Background of NCG1 & NCG2
Naval Construction Group ONE (NCG 1) and Naval Construction Group TWO (NCG 2) are Echelon IV commands reporting to Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC).
They serve as administrative Immediate Superior in Command for Active and Reserve Pacific and Atlantic Naval construction Forces Both NCGs include an organic, embedded Deployable Battle Staff capable of executing combat service support missions across the spectrum of joint and combined environments while providing command and control (C2) over NECC units operating in a specific military operation.
The NCGs provides the required engineering support our Navy and nation needs to construct and maintain base facilities, to repair battle damaged facilities, to conduct defensive operations as required, and to meet disaster preparedness and recovery missions. To allow units a venue to refine their construction skills and techniques the Seabee Technical Trainer was created.
