We are seeking a licensed Project Surveyor / Assistant Land Surveyor (PLS) to take command of our geospatial and surveying operations in El Paso.
This is a high-impact leadership role blending advanced field tech with office operations. You will manage elite field crews, oversee cutting-edge drone and robotic workflows, and spearhead high-accuracy platting and boundary efforts. Command the Fleet: Directly manage and mentor a dedicated group of 5 Senior Survey Party Chiefs and field assistants, ensuring safety, accuracy, and professional growth.
Advanced Geospatial Tech: Oversee cutting-edge workflows including aerial drone mapping (ortho-imagery), 3D scanning, robotic total stations, and high-precision GPS networks.
Data & Drafting Leadership: Drive CADD drafting efforts for complex boundary, ALTA, topographic, and public/private platting projects. Masterfully process data utilizing Trimble Business Center and Autodesk Civil 3D .
Quality & Logistics: Handle data ingestion/export between field crews and the office, maintain high-end instrumentation, and enforce strict Quality Control (QC) metrics before final signing.
Project Liaison: Partner directly with multi-discipline Project Managers to deliver high-accuracy construction staking and mapping packages on time and within scope.
Licensure: Must be a registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of Texas .
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-licensure experience spanning boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys.
The Hardware/Software Toolkit: Deep proficiency with Trimble field equipment, Trimble data collectors, Trimble Business Center, and Autodesk Civil 3D.
Education: Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field.
Leadership Style: Highly motivated, detail-obsessed, with excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between field crews and executive stakeholders.
Credentials: A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.

This role represents true full-lifecycle surveying, meaning you split time between an office setting and the rugged West Texas elements:
Comfortable working at a technical workstation for data processing and drafting.
Ready to occasionally head into the field, hike uneven or steep terrain, and work in varied weather conditions.
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs of surveying equipment (including setting monuments, staking, and using brush-clearing tools when necessary).
