Description

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a PLM Business Analyst (Product Lifecycle Management) for their Blaine, MN location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders (Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.) to understand the PLM requirements, challenges, and opportunities. Document functional and non-functional requirements for PLM system enhancements or implementations.
  • Business Process Mapping: Analyze and map existing business processes, identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Work with business stakeholders to design and document optimized workflows that align with PLM system capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the liaison between business teams, business units and Service integrator. Facilitate discussions, document business needs, and ensure alignment of the PLM solution with business unit and organizational objectives.
  • System Configuration and Support: Assist in the configuration of the PLM system, ensuring that it meets the business requirements. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that any system customizations or integrations align with business processes.
  • Testing and Validation: Participate in the creation of test cases and scenarios. Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that the PLM solution works as expected and meets business requirements.
  • Change Management: Assist in managing change throughout the project lifecycle. Support training efforts and assist in creating user manuals and training materials to ensure smooth adoption of the PLM system.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement in PLM processes, tools, and system usage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the lifecycle management of products and projects.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Create clear and concise reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders at various levels.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years working on PLM projects or in a related field (e.g. Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing).
  • Familiarity with PLM tools and software (e.g., PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Systèmes ENOVIA, etc.) is highly desirable. Basic understanding of system integrations, data migration, and configuration.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex processes and translate them into actionable requirements and solutions. Experience with business process modeling (BPMN) and process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to think critically and develop practical solutions to business problems. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • PLM Implementation Experience:
  • Experience in implementing PLM software within an organization, including system configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Design-Manufacturing Experience:
  • Preferred industries (e.g. HVAC, Automotive, Aerospace, High-Tech) with applied PLM and/or NPI context.
