Plex Consultant

Venteon is currently seeking a Plex Consultant to fill an opening with a company located in Warren, Michigan.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Support an external audit of the Warren operation s Plex ERP system, coordinated by international auditors.

Engage in a part-time consulting project estimated at approximately 300 total hours, with work spread over several months.

Work arrangement is primarily remote, with a few onsite days in Warren during the external auditors visit.

Flexible scheduling is required to accommodate communication with overseas audit teams.

Opportunity may include providing finance training, subject to confirmation of scope.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Serve as a primary resource for Plex system questions and audit evidence requests.

Explain and document how purchasing, receiving, inventory, sales, shipping, and invoicing transactions flow into the general ledger and financial statements.

Review financial configurations and processing logic related to inventory costing, automated journal entries, cost allocations, depreciation, period closing, and reporting.

Support reviews of user access, account administration, segregation of duties, privileged access, and approval workflows.

Gather documentation supporting system changes, configuration approvals, testing, audit trails, and backup and recovery controls, coordinating with IT and Plex resources as needed.

Prepare organized evidence packages containing screenshots, access reports, transaction histories, configuration records, approvals, and reconciliations.

Help trace selected transactions and report balances to underlying accounting and operational records.

Coordinate responses to auditor questions and track outstanding requests, identified issues, and corrective actions.

Attend onsite sessions in Warren during the external auditors visit.

Potentially provide finance training, subject to confirmation of scope.

WHAT IS REQUIRED

Strong hands-on experience with Plex ERP in a manufacturing environment.

Functional knowledge of Plex financials, inventory, costing, and integration between operational and accounting processes.

Experience supporting external audits, internal control reviews, or ERP control assessments.

Understanding of IT general controls and application controls, including access management, segregation of duties, change management, and financial reporting controls.

Ability to explain system configurations and accounting flows clearly to financial and technical audiences.

Strong documentation, reconciliation, and issue tracking skills.

Availability for intermittent work over several months, communication with overseas audit teams, and limited onsite work in Warren.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Senior Plex functional consultant, Plex financial systems specialist, or ERP controls consultant with substantial Plex experience.

Experience supporting manufacturing companies with international ownership or overseas audit teams.

Experience documenting financial processes, supporting remediation, or delivering Plex finance training.
