Location: Pawcatuck, CT
Work Model: Onsite
Experience: 7 10 Years
Rate: $55/hr C2C
Type: Contract
Duration: 12+months

Job Summary: Seeking an experienced PLC Programmer / Controls Programmer to support programming, troubleshooting, automation, and commissioning of custom industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and motion-control programs
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, networks, and safety systems
• Support machine startup, FAT, SAT, and commissioning
• Maintain controls documentation, I/O lists, and software revisions
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve controls issues

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Industrial Controls Programming
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting
• HMI development and operator interfaces
• Machine automation, motion control, and safety systems
• EtherNet/IP and Profinet
• ETO / custom machinery experience
• VFDs, servo drives, and industrial networks

Preferred Skills

• Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Studio 5000
• FactoryTalk View
• Siemens S7, TIA Portal, WinCC
• Servo motion control and machine safety
• Plastics extrusion / converting equipment
• FAT, SAT, startup, and customer-site commissioning

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field
