In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and programming PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation across well pads, batteries, SWD sites, and compressor stations. Your hands-on skills will ensure seamless automation processes, supporting operational excellence and safety compliance. Work independently in a technically demanding field, applying your expertise to solve real-world challenges and keep our systems running smoothly.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), RTUs, and HMIs
• Proficiency in PLC programming using Studio 5000 (Ladder, Function Block, Structured Text)
• Strong diagnostic skills in instrumentation, loop tuning, and troubleshooting automation systems
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control narratives
• Experience supporting automation across well pads, batteries, and compressor stations
• Familiarity with SAP or other CMMS tools for maintenance tracking
• Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and analog/discrete I/O

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with FactoryTalk View HMI development
• Knowledge of Control Systems Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
• Certifications in automation or instrumentation

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in Instrumentation, Automation, or related field OR GED with equivalent experience
• 3+ years as an Automation Specialist
• 3+ years of oil & gas operations experience

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and travel to remote field locations
• Capable of operating aerial lifts and working in confined spaces
• Ability to work safely around energized systems, following OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and company safety protocols
