Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plating Process Engineer to support and optimize electroplating operations within a manufacturing environment. This position will provide hands-on production support, troubleshoot plating processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, product quality, and production efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electroplating, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience working with cross-functional manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily production support by troubleshooting and resolving electroplating process issues.
- Monitor process parameters, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain consistent production quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, improving throughput, and increasing process reliability.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Train and support plating personnel, including Plating Line Technicians and Chemical Services staff.
- Oversee plating line personnel and assist with developing and maintaining rack maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with molding, quality, laboratory, and external technical resources to resolve process-related issues.
- Investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Evaluate new equipment opportunities and assist with cost-benefit analyses.
- Support ISO standards and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve operational performance.
