The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), platform operations, major incident management, change governance, and automation.

This role requires a strong technical leader with end-to-end architectural understanding of enterprise platforms, the ability to independently lead critical incident resolution, and experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple technology vendors. The candidate will drive service reliability, minimize downtime, improve operational efficiency, and implement proactive monitoring and self-healing automation.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead platform reliability and operations across Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, integration, and visualization platforms.

    • Establish and manage Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and operational performance targets.

    • Independently lead Major Incident Management (MIM), coordinating end-to-end incident resolution across infrastructure, data, integration, and application teams.

    • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and problem management to prevent recurring incidents.

    • Manage critical incident communications with senior executives, business stakeholders, IT leadership, and external vendors.

    • Govern production changes through Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes, risk assessments, implementation approvals, and rollback planning.

    • Drive preventive maintenance, platform health checks, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.

    • Implement observability, monitoring, alerting, and self-healing automation to improve platform stability and reduce Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR).

    • Identify opportunities for operational automation, AIOps, and continuous improvement across platform operations.

    • Collaborate with FinOps teams to optimize cloud resource utilization, address cost anomalies, and improve operational efficiency.

    • Manage cross-vendor operational agreements, including Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), service expectations, and performance governance.

    • Lead, mentor, and coach L2/L3 engineering teams while establishing operational governance and continuous improvement practices.

    • Drive CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to improve deployment consistency and operational reliability.

    Required Technical Skills
    • Cloud Platforms: Strong expertise in enterprise-scale Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, access management, and platform administration; experience with GCP.

    • Azure Infrastructure: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), networking, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), cloud security, and infrastructure operations.

    • Data Platforms: Azure Databricks, Apache Spark performance tuning, Snowflake administration and operational optimization.

    • Integration Platforms: Informatica, Kafka, and enterprise integration platform operations.

    • Analytics and Visualization: Tableau and Power BI platform administration and support.

    • Containers and Orchestration: Kubernetes and containerized platform operations.

    • Monitoring and Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and AppDynamics.

    • Automation and AIOps: Self-healing automation, intelligent alerting, incident prevention, and operational automation.

    • DevOps and Infrastructure Automation: CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.

    • IT Service Management: Major Incident Management, RCA, CAPA, problem management, change management, and CAB governance.

    • Site Reliability Engineering: SLOs, SLAs, service reliability, availability management, MTTR reduction, and change success rate improvement.

    Required Experience and Qualifications
    • 20+ years of experience in platform operations, infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or enterprise technology operations.

    • At least 5 years of experience leading platform reliability, SRE, or infrastructure operations teams.

    • Proven expertise in architecting, administering, and supporting enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and platform engineering solutions.

    • Strong experience leading major production incidents and coordinating cross-functional technical teams through resolution.

    • Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis, problem management, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvement.

    • Experience implementing change governance, CAB processes, production risk assessments, and rollback strategies.

    • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, integration technologies, and analytics platforms.

    • Experience driving operational automation, observability, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and cloud cost optimization.

    • Proven ability to communicate technical issues and business impacts clearly to senior executives and business stakeholders.

    • Experience managing cross-vendor service delivery, OLAs, operational KPIs, and performance governance.
