    Job Summary

    The Platform Engineer supports and maintains the Adaptiv market risk platform, ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of a critical system supporting regulatory reporting, stress testing, and daily risk processes. The role combines production support, platform maintenance, troubleshooting, automation, and continuous improvement.

    The engineer will partner with Risk, Quantitative, Data, Infrastructure, and vendor teams to resolve complex issues, implement platform changes, and improve operational resilience while developing deep expertise in Adaptiv and market risk technology.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Learn, support, and maintain the Adaptiv market risk platform, including architecture, configurations, batch processes, calculations, and integrations.

    • Provide production support by monitoring system health and batch processing, troubleshooting failures and data issues, and supporting month-end, stress testing, and regulatory processes.

    • Perform platform maintenance, upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and performance tuning.

    • Improve platform reliability, monitoring, observability, error handling, and recoverability.

    • Automate manual processes and develop tools to improve operational efficiency and resilience.

    • Respond to production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventative solutions.

    • Collaborate with vendors and internal Risk, Quantitative, Data, and Infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues and deliver platform enhancements.

    • Translate business and risk requirements into effective technical and platform changes.

    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures.

    • Participate in an on-call or operational support rotation as required.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

    • 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, production support, systems engineering, or a related technical role.

    • Experience supporting batch-oriented or compute-intensive production systems.

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose complex system and data issues.

    • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix, Python or Shell scripting, and SQL/relational databases.

    • Ability to work effectively in a controlled, regulated production environment.

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Adaptiv, market risk platforms, or risk analytics systems.

    • Financial services, capital markets, or risk technology experience.

    • Familiarity with scheduling, cloud, monitoring, and observability technologies.

    • Knowledge of market risk concepts such as VaR, sensitivities, and stress testing.

    • Experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, automation, and operational resilience.
