Title: Platform Engineer
Location: US-based hybrid role for our Memphis, TN (preferred) or Dallas, TX location with the ability to travel up to 15%.
Duration:  12 months with full-time possibility
Compensation: $75-$77/hr W2
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
 
Skillset / Experience:
As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and supporting the delivery of innovative  platform capabilities and experiences in collaboration with Software Engineering, Leadership, and cross-product/cross-channel business partners. The Platform Engineering team applies platform management and technical design and delivery skills to plan and prioritize the work of systems or services used by multiple Guest and/or Team Member product channels. In this highly collaborative position, you will balance the needs of product/business feature owners, platform engineering and architects, enterprise safety and soundness, and performance/scalability to continually drive delivery of platform capabilities across ***'s web and mobile channels. You will also be responsible for creating or supporting a wide range of outputs enabling agile/iterative platform development: roadmaps, context/sequence diagrams, epics, stories, technical wireframes, collaboration space documentation, and partner presentations. You will demonstrate versatility as platform interests span front-line product awareness, enterprise infrastructure familiarity, data and API proficiency, performance monitoring, and longer-term foundation planning.
Define platform capabilities to enable cross-product (Guest/Team Member) and cross-channel (web/mobile) experiences that use ***'s evolving service/API-driven infrastructure and third-party services/integration.
Contribute to platform delivery roadmap(s) with input from appropriate stakeholders to enable best-in-class user experiences, alignment with enterprise-level technology transformation, and maximization of *** mobile growth, engagement, and revenue.
Continually monitor platform and related web/mobile app performance to identify opportunities/issues and lead delivery of platform-specific enhancements that will increase app/platform performance and stability, or provide competitive advantages.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Product, Channel, Software Engineering, and Creative, to balance competing interests and needs across the organization to enable strategic web/mobile delivery, communicating effectively and aligning various partners along the way.

Job Summary
Opportunity to join an in-house Technology team that is creating consumer-facing, cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing the hospitality industry. As part of the Directory and Collaboration Services team, you will support normal operations and major projects critical to providing Identity and Access Management services across the enterprise, including developing, testing, debugging, and documenting platform operations and application integrations.
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement authentication and identity operating standards
  • Develop tools and scripts to increase automation and streamline operations
  • Manage the PingFederate and PingDirectory platforms, providing LDAP, SAML, and OAuth services to the enterprise
  • Evolve the Single Sign-On and LDAP services to improve resiliency and ensure continuity of business operations
  • Resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve service quality
  • Complete SAML, OAuth, and OIDC application onboarding through requirements analysis, design, implementation, and operational stages
  • Build relationships across the Technology Directory and Collaboration Services team, along with the larger Infrastructure community, to understand how the portfolio integrates with systems
  • Take initiative to learn the interdependencies and recommend opportunities to evolve and streamline operations
  • Create proactive processes to improve uptime and system processing, which will support technology initiatives
  • Be curious about how the systems interconnect to develop a comprehensive understanding and promote creative solutions
Skills
  • Experience coding in OGNL
  • Experience with Java development
  • Technical knowledge of operating platforms, including Windows, UNIX, and Active Directory
  • Experience developing and implementing web interfaces such as SOAP, CGI, or REST
  • Experience with the Atlassian Collaboration Stack
  • Experience with markup languages, including XML and XHTML
  • Experience with multi-factor authentication solutions
Experience
  • Five years of direct experience with Ping, LDAP, and directory structures
  • Three years of experience working with PingFederate and PingDirectory or comparable identity federation and directory solutions
  • Three years of experience with a Java application server such as WebLogic, WebSphere, GlassFish, or Apache Tomcat
