Title: Platform Data Engineer
Location: Merrifield, VA
Employment Type: Contract
Compensation:
Pay Range;$85.00-$95.00 Per Hr
Description:
The position involves joining a dynamic engineering organization to support digital applications and services, enhancing user experiences and driving strategic initiatives.
This role requires designing robust database solutions, optimizing performance, and ensuring data security.
The job is a hybrid contract position, working with modern database technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design and manage advanced cloud database architectures for scalability and reliability.
Collaborate with development teams to manage database changes using schema management tools.
Monitor and optimize database performance and conduct capacity planning.
Develop and enforce data security protocols and compliance initiatives.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5-7 years of experience in database engineering and administration.
Advanced skills in designing and deploying backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Experience in developing automation scripts and workflows.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
