Run shear and press brake equipment to shape and form sheet metal, plate, and structural metals.
Follow blueprints, reading and interpreting details to produce parts to spec.
Measure accurately with a tape measure to confirm dimensions during and after forming.
Must-have skills
Hands-on familiarity with shear and press brake machines.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
Confidence using a tape measure for precise measurements.
Physical demands
Stand for long periods in a production environment.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, perform repetitive lifting, and squat.
