Lead the 2nd-Shift Molding Operation

Own the performance of a fast-paced injection molding department on 2nd shift in Elgin, IL. As an employee-owner, you’ll guide people, processes, and quality to hit production targets safely and consistently.

Pay, Hours, and Location

• Pay: $28.00 – $34.00/hour (DOE)
• Schedule: 2nd shift, 3:45pm – 12:15am; overtime required
• Training: Initial training on 1st shift for a few weeks
• Location: Elgin, IL

What You'll Do

• Supervise, coach, and train molding team members on 2nd shift
• Troubleshoot complex injection molding process and setup issues
• Assign operators to jobs and monitor workflow and throughput
• Prepare production reports and participate in shift change meetings
• Ensure production goals, quality standards, and customer specs are achieved
• Adjust processing parameters to optimize cycle time and part quality
• Coordinate with maintenance for timely equipment repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Enforce adherence to approved work instructions and quality procedures
• Foster teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
• Administer first aid and coordinate medical attention if injuries occur
• Assist with mold and equipment maintenance as needed

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of plastic injection molding experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills with molding processes
• Prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred
• Excellent communication and basic math skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 80 lbs
• Stand for extended periods
• Comfortable in a warm manufacturing environment
• Overtime as needed
