Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Drive manufacturing process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Support production teams in identifying and resolving process-related challenges across manufacturing operations.
- Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product introductions, ensuring smooth transitions into production.
- Partner with engineering, quality, tooling, and operations teams to improve manufacturability and process performance.
- Develop and implement tooling, fixtures, and workflow improvements that support consistent production results.
- Analyse production metrics and operational data to identify opportunities for waste reduction and efficiency gains.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
- Support process validation, product launches, and ongoing optimisation efforts within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Contribute to root cause investigations and corrective action activities to improve long-term process stability.
- Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and support compliance with quality and operational standards.

The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
- 3 to 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within a plastics manufacturing environment.
- Experience with injection moulding process development, tooling, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Proficiency with CAD software.
- Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing process validation.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing data analysis.
- Exposure to automation, robotics, or collaborative robotic systems is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively across engineering, quality, operations, tooling, and supply chain teams.
