You spot the root cause and correct it before output is impacted. That is your craft.
Role highlights
- Prepare presses by hanging and setting up tooling, then start production jobs to target cycle and quality.
- Adjust and troubleshoot during runs while following established work instructions.
- Handle mold tooling inventory control to ensure availability and traceability.
- Conduct press teardown and complete mold pulls per procedure.
- Support general shop upkeep: cleaning, organization, and basic maintenance.
- Enter downtime codes and tool setup information accurately in the ERP system.
- Continuously verify press health; report any issues to the supervisor promptly.
What it takes
- High school diploma, GED, or 12 years of formal education preferred (not required).
- Competence with basic mathematics.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Preferred: 5+ years of hands-on injection molding experience.
- Strong mechanical experience and a practical problem-solving mindset.
- Physical ability to lift 60+ pounds, climb stairs, and stand for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
