Akkodis is seeking a Plant Vehicle Team Engineer for a Contract with a client in Wayne, MI. The ideal candidate is responsible for analyzing and correcting Body Exterior component and assembly process concerns to ensure functional system quality and achievement of plant quality objectives.
Rate Range: $40/Hour to $42/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Plant Vehicle Team Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Investigate and resolve quality issues related to Body Exterior components, including trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing systems.
Serve as the first line of defense for functional system quality within the Vehicle Assembly Plant.
Collaborate with Body Exterior Engineering teams to achieve product quality and manufacturing objectives.
Analyze component defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support vehicle assembly operations by troubleshooting production and supplier-related quality concerns.
Utilize critical problem-solving and engineering analysis techniques to improve product performance, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Product Development (PD), Quality, Program Management, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Strong experience analyzing and resolving quality issues in a vehicle assembly environment, with a focus on Body Exterior components such as trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing systems.
Excellent critical problem-solving and root cause analysis skills; prior Design Release Engineering experience and Six Sigma Black Belt training are highly preferred.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
