Your Role
The Plant Technician is responsible for maintaining the buildings, equipment, and grounds at our waste and recycling facility. You'll help ensure the site remains safe, clean, and fully operational by performing preventive maintenance, light welding, repairs, and general upkeep on facility systems and infrastructure.
What You'll Do
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment.
Inspect and repair machine belting, bearings, and rollers.
Assist with maintenance of stationary equipment such as conveyors and sorting lines.
Conduct light welding repairs as needed.
Support operations by promptly responding to maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
Maintain safe work areas by ensuring walkways, exits, and emergency systems are functional and clear of hazards.
Operate small equipment and power tools in accordance with safety guidelines.
Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment or facility issues to management.

What You'll Bring
Two (2) or more years of facility, industrial, or equipment maintenance experience required.
Experience in the waste, recycling, or manufacturing industry preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical repair.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills and commitment to workplace safety.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
