1st Shift Plant Supervisor – Foundry/Casting Environment

Location: Hodges, SC 29653

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, with weekends as needed

Current Schedule: 4:00 AM–4:00 PM Monday–Friday until production is caught up, then transitioning to the regular 6:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule

OpSource Staffing is hiring an experienced Plant Supervisor for our client in Hodges, SC. This is a hands-on leadership position in a foundry/casting environment supporting automotive quality inspection and production operations.

We are looking for a strong leader who is comfortable working in a hot, dusty, dirty, heavy-industrial environment and who has experience with casting, foundry operations, forklifts, and production supervision.

Casting or foundry experience is highly preferred, and casting experience and forklift experience are required.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and lead associates throughout the shift
• Coordinate daily workflow and ensure production requirements are met
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, safety, and productivity
• Train associates on work procedures, safety requirements, and proper equipment operation
• Safely operate a forklift and assist with material movement as needed
• Use scanners, basic computer programs, and complete production documentation
• Communicate with management regarding staffing, production, safety, and operational concerns
• Identify and address production issues to keep operations running efficiently
• Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with hands-on production work and heavy lifting when needed
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment

What We're Looking For

• Casting experience required
• Forklift experience required
• Previous plant, production, manufacturing, foundry, or industrial supervisory/leadership experience
• Foundry or casting facility experience highly preferred
• Crane and hoist experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and fully understand English
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, heavy-industrial environment
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required
• Reliable transportation required
• Must be comfortable working in a hot, dusty, dirty environment with a distinct industrial odor

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Must be able to perform heavy lifting as required
• Steel-toe boots required
• Metatarsal covers required
• Work pants required — no leggings, yoga pants, or similar clothing
• All other required PPE will be provided

Schedule & Attendance

The regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, with weekends as needed.

Please note: The facility is currently working 4:00 AM–4:00 PM Monday–Friday while production catches up. Once caught up, the schedule will return to 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.

This is a leadership role, and supervisors/leads may be required to arrive approximately 30 minutes before the shift and stay approximately 30 minutes after the shift to support opening and closing responsibilities.
