Summary Description:

While reporting to the Senior Quality Manager – the Plant Quality Manager II is responsible for providing support to the plant and leadership of a large, complex plant in the area of maintaining and improving the quality systems as prescribed by the corporate standards to ensure adherence to quality control and assurance. Duties involved with management of food safety quality management systems includes change control, data collection schemes and analysis, test methods & equipment, standard operating instructions, audits, manuals, and other routine quality systems areas. Other duties include training plant personnel in quality processes; facilitating improvement teams; managing compliance to specifications; and member of product safety team and QM pillar. In addition, Plant Quality Manager II will serve as an additional point of contact with customers for product or service quality communications and quality investigations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide hands-on management of the elements of the QMS (Quality Management System.) in coordination with the Senior Quality Manager. These include quality action plans, root cause analysis and corrective actions, supplier quality management, customer complaints, standard work, audit processes, standard procedures, test methods, change control and process controls.
  • Generate data analysis and reports for all aspects of plant quality as required by leadership, not limited to and including VOC, CARs, SCARs, COAs, on-time and in-full deliveries, SPC reporting, losses, product safety, internal, third party & customer audits and change control processes.
  • Where applicable, assist in managing the food safety team and organize its work, ensure relevant training and education of the food safety team members, ensure the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained and updated, and report to the organization's top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system
  • Independently manages customer interactions as required as it relates to product or service quality
  • Participate on teams and lead efforts toward continuous improvement initiatives within the plant, including SPS QM pillar engagement and sub-team activity
  • Identify, define and promote awareness of customer requirements for the plant.
  • Participates in cross-divisional teams or audits as needed.
  • Active member of the plant leadership team to foster adherence to quality principles and goals.

This is an onsite position located in our Franklin OH Facility
