Purpose
The Plant Quality Manager leads end-to-end site quality activities and deploys the plant quality
strategy in alignment with regional objectives. The role is responsible for managing the plant Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring ISO 9001 certification compliance, driving continuous improvement, and leading the site quality team to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead quality strategy and performance at the site and deploy the plant quality strategy in
alignment with regional objectives.
• Manage, coach, and develop the plant Quality team while fostering a strong quality culture.
• Own the plant Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring ISO 9001 certification
compliance and successful execution of internal and external quality audits.
• Ensure manufacturing process control, process stability, standardization, and compliance to
quality requirements. Hold production accountable and delegate authority when quality risks
are identified.
• Monitor plant quality KPIs, analyze trends, and lead corrective, preventive, and continuous
improvement initiatives.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Transfer of Technology/Production (TOT/TOP)
activities to ensure robust quality performance during product and process launches.
• Oversee supplier quality performance, non-conformance management, quality performance
reviews, supplier corrective actions, and resolution of supplier-related quality issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and deployment of lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Regional Quality to drive quality
excellence and operational performance.
Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 5-8 years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems, manufacturing quality, and
audit management.
• Experience in supplier quality management, incoming quality, and supplier development.
• Expertise in quality methodologies including:
o 8D
o Lean
o Six Sigma
• Experience supporting NPI and product/process transfer (TOT/TOP) activities.
• Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven problem-solving abilities, including the ability to bring together information from
multiple sources and teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Must have strong data handling capabilities, including managing large amounts of
incomplete data, cleaning data, preprocessing, and using data to identify answers and drive
decisions.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to go beyond analytics to understand operations
firsthand and hold teams accountable.
