    About the Role:

    The Plant Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of quality across all manufacturing processes within the plant. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems that comply with industry regulations and company policies. The manager will lead quality assurance teams to identify areas for improvement, drive corrective actions, and foster a culture of continuous quality enhancement. They will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain departments to ensure product specifications and customer expectations are consistently met. Ultimately, the Plant Quality Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding product integrity, minimizing defects, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Ideally a degree within the Quality field or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
    • Proven experience leading quality assurance teams and managing quality control processes.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
    • Lead and mentor the quality assurance team to conduct inspections, audits, and root cause analyses to identify and resolve quality issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and supply chain to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the manufacturing process.
    • Monitor key quality metrics and prepare detailed reports to communicate performance trends and improvement opportunities to senior management.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data, implementing corrective actions, and promoting best practices across the plant.

    The Plant Quality Manager utilizes strong analytical skills daily to interpret quality data and identify trends that impact product performance. Leadership and communication skills are essential for effectively managing the quality team and collaborating with other departments to implement quality initiatives. Problem-solving abilities are applied to investigate defects, conduct root cause analyses, and develop corrective and preventive actions. Knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements ensures compliance and guides the development of robust quality systems. Additionally, proficiency with quality management software and data visualization tools supports efficient monitoring and reporting of quality metrics.
