What You'll Do as a Plant Operator:- Operate refuse cranes to charge furnaces at prescribed rates
- Mix and manage solid waste to achieve proper fuel composition
- Remove unacceptable waste and place it in designated containers
- Assist in operation, servicing, and maintenance of plant equipment and boilers
- Monitor control systems and support plant operations during shifts
- Record operational data and produce reports for daily and monthly activities
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in control room and plant areas
- Support facility operations and perform additional duties as assigned
What You Need to Bring to the Plant Operator Role:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to use computer systems for data entry and equipment control
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats
- Ability to work in high-pressure or emergency situations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
- Ability to climb ladders and wear required safety equipment such as respirators
