Basic job description

 In the absence of the Plant Manager, the leadman is responsible for ALL site activities.

  Responsible for the Health and Welfare of the crew and ensuring the site meets or exceeds Safety Standards

 Responsible for the administration of the Summit Safety Principles

   Responsible for the safe operation of the plant

  Responsible for obtaining the maximum production at the plant

   Ensures that quality products are being produced within internal and external specifications

   Compiles all data so that timecards, maintenance logs, production logs, etc., can be completed

   Implement the Plant Program

  Daily Production Schedule

 Daily Maintenance Schedule

·         Parts requisitions from Site Manager

   Communicate with crew members frequently to ensure best operational practices at the plant

  Monitors compliance with fugitive dust from the plant

Experience Required   

         Training Required (Kilgore will provide training upon hiring)

  Required Safety training

   Site Specific Training, including site inspection training

   Plant Operation Task Training

Daily Duties

   Daily Equipment Inspection

  Maintenance logs

  Production logs

  Timecards

  Oversee inspection and repair of plant equipment

  Required daily and monthly plant inspections

  Any safety or mechanical issues to be reported to supervisor immediately.

  Equipment inspection log to be turned in daily.

  Do not run equipment without performing the inspection.

Operation of equipment

 Equipment is to be operated in a safe and efficient manner.

 Operator shall not idle equipment when not in use.  Turn it off.

  Equipment Cab and Control House will be kept clean, wiped down and maintained

   Site observations

  The plant operator shall constantly visually inspect plant operations.

  It is the plant operator’s role to ensure that production goals are achieved.   It is the plant operator responsibility to communicate goal progress to his supervisor and crew.  These production goals include but not limited to Uptime and Operating Efficiency

   Adhere to training received
