A Day in the Life

Start your morning walk-through at 7:00 AM, checking pumps, motors, and conveyors before production ramps up. When a pneumatic valve sticks, you diagnose, swap components, and bring the line back online with minimal downtime. Later, you review a schematic to prep for a new equipment install, then switch gears to repair a hydraulic leak and finish the day documenting PM work and noting parts for the next scheduled shutdown. Along the way, you pitch in on a facility repair, build a crate for outbound equipment, and support a small safety improvement project. Most work is mechanical—your HVAC knowledge is a strong plus.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including pumps, motors, and conveyor systems
  • Diagnose mechanical issues to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Service, rebuild, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Replace valves, regulators, hoses, air/gas lines, and related fittings
  • Complete preventive maintenance and accurately record work performed
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Assist with equipment installs, upgrades, and relocations
  • Handle general facility fixes (including basic plumbing)
  • Build crates; assist with equipment or office moves as needed
  • Contribute to safety initiatives and continuous improvement

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Background in industrial/manufacturing/facility or military maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, or pneumatics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency

  • Professional trade license or relevant technical certification a plus
  • Military mechanical-maintenance training welcomed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
