    A well-established plastics manufacturer is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead a high-volume extrusion manufacturing operation during an important leadership transition. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape the future of the facility while working alongside experienced leadership committed to long-term success.

    The facility is entering its next phase of growth following a leadership transition. The new Plant Manager will provide overall leadership for manufacturing, maintenance, quality, engineering, and continuous improvement while helping position the plant for long-term operational excellence.

    You'll inherit a solid operation while having the autonomy to implement improvements, develop your leadership team, and drive measurable results.

     

    What You'll Own

    • Lead all day-to-day plant operations across production, maintenance, quality, and materials.
    • Develop and coach supervisors and department leaders while building a culture of accountability.
    • Improve safety, quality, productivity, and overall plant performance.
    • Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Partner with engineering on equipment reliability, process optimization, and capital projects.
    • Oversee production planning to meet customer demand and operational goals.
    • Monitor key plant metrics including safety, OEE, scrap, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery.
    • Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor while collaborating with executive leadership.
    • Ownership over scaling a new adjacent plant

     

    What Strong Candidates Look Like

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Previous Plant Manager experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong background in plastics extrusion manufacturing.
    • Proven success leading multi-department manufacturing operations.
    • Experience developing supervisors and building high-performing teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance through Lean and continuous improvement.
    • Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, KPIs, and plant performance.
    • Ability to scale up facilities

     

    What's In It For You

    • Base salary of $150,000-$170,000
