Plant Manager – Steel Fabrication

Responsibilities

• Direct overall plant operations to achieve production, quality, efficiency, financial, and strategic objectives, regularly reviewing performance and implementing corrective actions as needed

• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and employee development, building a performance-driven culture centered on accountability, trust, engagement, and continuous improvement

• Manage plant financial performance, including profitability, manufacturing efficiency, cost reduction, budgeting, forecasting, and performance against operating plans

• Lead workforce planning and staffing strategies to ensure the operation has the appropriate talent and resources to meet production, customer, and business requirements

• Plan and execute operational improvement and capital projects, collaborating with corporate and cross-functional teams while applying manufacturing, engineering, and technical best practices

• Partner with Quality, Production, and other departments to improve product consistency, production scheduling, inventory levels, and overall manufacturing efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management/Operations or another related field preferred

• A minimum of five years of steel manufacturing, welding, press, plasma machining and operations leadership experience

• Proven ability to implement continuous improvement and Lean methodologies, including Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and transactional Lean practices

• Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to analyze operational data, identify trends, and support informed decision-making

• Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing operations, maintenance, and engineering, combined with strong leadership, team building, coaching, and collaborative problem-solving skills

Salary: $90k - $115k
