Plant Manager

We are looking for a Plant Manager for our repack and fulfillment facility in Mishawaka, IN. The Manager will lead all operational activities including receiving, repackaging, quality, warehousing, and distribution functions.The Plant Manager ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of all distribution center operations, driving productivity, inventory accuracy, workflow optimization, customer satisfaction, and team leadership.Initial operations will typically run one day shift, Monday through Friday, but may change based on customer needs and program growth.

Key Skill Areas & Responsibilities1.Operational Leadership & Workflow OptimizationSkills: Lean warehousing, workflow design, process optimization, critical thinking, problem‑solvingResponsibilities:

Lead all phases of the operation including receiving, warehousing, repack, quality, and distribution activities.Monitor and adjust labor, workflow, equipment use, and set‑ups to ensure maximum efficiency.

Utilize lean principles to improve throughput, accuracy, and employee satisfaction.

Support initial program launch and future program onboarding.

2. Safety, Facility Management & Compliance:Critical Skills: safety practices, accountability, regulatory compliance, facility maintenance, 6SResponsibilities:

Maintain a clean, well‑organized, functional, and safe facility and equipment.Ensure compliance with company expectations, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.Meet all safety and training requirements and provide additional training as needed.Lead by example.

3. Inventory, Quality & Performance ManagementCritical Skills: inventory control, quality oversight, analytical decision‑making, change managementResponsibilities:

Maintain inventory accuracy, product quality, and adherence to customer standards.Modify warehouse, production, and inventory control practices to enhance operations and profitability.Implement continuous improvement practices to optimize throughput and accuracy.

Manage facility financials, budgeting, and cost control - and achieve profitability objectives.

Track and report KPIs including productivity, P&L/budget, work quality, and inventory accuracy.

4. Customer, Supplier & Carrier EngagementCritical Skills: communication, relationship building, vendor coordinationResponsibilities:

Collaborate directly with customers and suppliers, with a strong customer focus.Build and maintain effective partnerships with customers, suppliers, carriers, and other company personnel.Represent the facility in operational discussions, problem resolution, and program reviews.

5. Workforce Leadership & Team DevelopmentSkills required: interviewing, training, coaching, leadership, conflict resolution, motivation, disciplineResponsibilities:
