Plant Manager

About the Role

This role involves leading a manufacturing plant focused on vinyl siding and exterior cladding for residential construction markets. The position exists to elevate manufacturing performance to meet market demand, contributing to the organization’s growth. As the senior manufacturing leader, you will report directly to the division's President and play a critical role in aligning production with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, safety, materials/inventory, and shipping/receiving.
• Build and develop a high-performing team, enhancing performance standards and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, equipment reliability, scrap/waste reduction, and cost performance.
• Implement process discipline, standard work, and continuous-improvement initiatives to achieve tangible results.
• Partner with the President and commercial teams to align production capacity with customer demand and growth opportunities.
• Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management to improve order fulfillment and reduce backorders.
• Manage plant financial performance within established budgets, identifying opportunities for efficiency and investment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, housekeeping standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support end-to-end supply chain performance.
• Represent operations in business reviews and strategic discussions.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven track record as a strong people leader capable of building teams, developing talent, and creating a high-performance culture.
• Combination of operational expertise and business mindset, connecting plant performance to customer service and business results.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading plants or major operations of similar scale (minimum 200 employees) in manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on, results-oriented style with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and execute effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent progressive experience will be considered.
