The Plant Manager provides guidance and direction to a key management team ensuring that adequate planning, staffing, training, and development take place so that customer requirements can be met in a timely, safe, and environmentally responsible manner. The focus of this role is on achieving results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and its strategic goals. Achievement of objectives and goals in accordance with the Annual Business Plan is critical, while using KPI measurements to align the various departments with the Annual Business Plan. Adheres to all local, regional, and national environmental, legal, and safety legislation.Major Responsibilities of the PositionDrive the business, with the help of Business Development, to fill available capacity with business that achieves the required return on investment.Develop the Annual Business Plan, ensuring it fits the plant's capacity and Capital Plan.co-ordinate the establishment and focus on team goals, production objectives, utilization of plant facilities, equipment, materials and staff and key performance indicators; improve profitability and positive cash flow.responsible for ensuring continuous improvement by reviewing objectives and targets and internal/external customer concerns; reviewing audit results and EMS programs elements and establishing action items and recommendations in accordance to ISO 14001 StandardsEducation, Experience and SkillsBachelors Degree in Engineering or relevant disciplineExtensive automotive manufacturing experience (5-10 years)A leadership style that is firm and goal oriented, and yet motivates, trains, and engages others in an enthusiastic and positive way is important.The ability to act independently, a sense of urgency, and the confidence to handle a variety of complex challenges, a full commitment to the success of the business, and high standards of achievement are expected.Why work for Meridian Lightweight Technologies?At Meridian Lightweight Technologies, you'll be part of a team that is shaping the future of lightweight automotive manufacturing.
