    Description

    MAU is hiring a Plant Manager for our client, a global leader in the finishing and processing of high-quality technical fibers to reinforce rubber products for the automotive, industrial, and oil and gas industries, in Mansfield, GA. As a Plant Manager, you will lead manufacturing operations by driving safety, quality, productivity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while developing teams and aligning plant performance with company objectives. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical or manufacturing discipline
    • 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing
    • Experience managing cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics
    • Hands-on ERP system experience and familiarity with preventive maintenance systems

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Manufacturing leadership experience in the textile, chemical, automotive, or rubber-related industries

    General Requirements

    • Strategic focus on operational excellence, safety, quality, and leadership
    • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement methodologies
    • Demonstrated success driving a strong safety culture
    • Proven ability to improve plant KPIs
    • Experience maintaining ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance
    • Strong leadership, team-building, and people management skills
    • Ability to lead a workforce across multiple shifts and departments
    • Clear and professional communication skills with hourly employees, peers, and executives
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational issues and implement sustainable solutions
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to align plant operations with company objectives
    • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to support customer visits and audits

    Essential Functions

    • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency objectives.
    • Foster a culture built on mutual respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    • Oversee daily manufacturing processes to ensure operational performance aligns with company goals and customer expectations.
    • Lead, develop, and mentor manufacturing teams to maximize performance and engagement.
    • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Promote and strengthen a proactive safety culture throughout the facility.
    • Monitor and improve key plant performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management standards.
    • Manage cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
    • Utilize ERP systems and preventive maintenance processes to support efficient plant operations.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing facilities in Mexico and Germany to align operational practices and share best practices.
    • Support global consistency in manufacturing processes and operational excellence.
    • Represent the plant during customer visits and quality audits while ensuring customer expectations are met.
