We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead a high-volume automotive manufacturing operation specializing in robotic welded assemblies. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who knows how to drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity while building a strong, accountable team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all day-to-day plant operations and manufacturing performance.
- Drive safety, quality, production, delivery, labor, and cost objectives.
- Oversee robotic welding and automated manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production leadership.
- Manage plant budgets, staffing, capital projects, and operational priorities.
- Develop supervisors and plant leadership while building a culture of accountability.
- Support customer audits, new product launches, equipment installations, and process improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Plant-level or multi-department operational leadership experience.
- Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with robotic welding, welded assemblies, metal fabrication, or highly automated manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, and automotive quality requirements.
- Strong Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement background.
- Experience managing budgets, staffing, production planning, and plant KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
Experience leading a union manufacturing environment and knowledge of robotic arc or resistance welding are additional advantages.
