Plant Maintenance Technician 
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to growth a large-scale manufacturing company.

Pay Rate  
$25.00 – $30.00 per hour 

Schedule and Hours  
Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 3 30 pm. 

Plant Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Inspecting buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns.
  • Installing replacement components and reinforcing damaged areas of carts and transport racks Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
  • Rebuilding and reinforcing material transport carts used in plant operations.
  • Preparing completed repairs for inspection and approval by supervisors or quality personnel.
  • Repairing metal cages and carts used for transporting materials and parts throughout the plant.
  • Performing welding and fabrication repairs on damaged carts, racks, and transport equipment.
  • Cutting, fitting, and welding metal components to restore structural integrity of transport equipment
Plant Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements 
  • MIG / Stick welding experience
  • Metal cutting and fabrication
  • Ability to read basic repair instructions or diagrams
  • Experience repairing industrial carts, racks, skids, or fixtures
  • Ability to use drills and anchors for concrete mounting and rebar installation
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Cut, fit, and MIG weld structural steel used in carts, skids, and transport racks. Weld test required.
