We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who can lead by example, drive continuous improvement, and build a culture where safety, teamwork, and reliability come first.
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians at the Real Alloy plant in Goodyear, Arizona. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to supervise a maintenance team of 5-6 employees, help oversee projects, and assist with our preventative maintenance program. The Maintenance Supervisor will report directly to the Maintenance Manager on site. Your leadership will help keep our operation running safely, efficiently, and successfully.
Primary Duties:
- Oversee the completion of equipment maintenance schedules, advise on downtime requirements, and review breakdown vs. scheduled maintenance work, report-out monthly statistics.
- Supervise established preventive maintenance program and work order completion review preventive maintenance effectiveness.
- Conduct plant walk arounds to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance initiatives and continue to develop work efficiencies.
- Interface and collaborate with purchasing and operations to identify and resolve work issues.
- Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable procedures.
- Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures.
- Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback/craft interface time, detailed contract, and complex troubleshooting. Work with plant staff to set and meet plant goals and objectives.
- Create, initiate, and maintain work schedules to expedite workflow and minimize the need for overtime.
- Participate in the interview and hiring process of the maintenance team, when needed, to develop and maintain a work team that exhibits mutual respect and employee involvement.
- Develop individual team members to maximum potential through effective training and identification and utilization of skills and capabilities.
- Ensure maximum uptime performance of all production centers in the plant through efficient use of available resources and according to production planning priorities.
- Provide status for work continuation, safety issues, social issues, etc. to Maintenance Manager.
- Manage social issues, implementation of company policy decisions, and other communications to employees and turn to HR for any related documentation.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and five years’ related experience in trade profession or industrial maintenance
- Willingness to learn new skills through ongoing training.
- Able to demonstrate strong proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Flexibility to work overtime and be on call as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of employees within the company.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
