    Our processing operation depends on disciplined maintenance. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert who prevents problems before they start and solves them fast when they do.

    Impact you’ll make

    • Ensure every shift starts strong with thorough post-operational inspections across graders, conveyors, washers, and dryers.
    • Own preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and safety.
    • Diagnose faults and repair equipment—mechanical to electro-mechanical—on processing lines.
    • Lead RCAs on downtime and implement error-proofing (poka-yoke) to prevent recurrence.
    • Configure machinery with the right packaging materials and accurate date codes.
    • Track parts usage, manage inventory levels, and keep detailed maintenance records.
    • Apply welding and metalworking skills; support pipefitting as needed.
    • Complete building and facility maintenance tasks.
    • Follow all safety regulations and biosecurity procedures; escalate violations immediately.

    What you’ll need to excel

    • Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting and metalworking strength.
    • Proficiency in machine repair, machine tool operations, pipefitting, and welding.
    • Familiarity with valves, fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and related components.
    • Ability to interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics/blueprints.
    • Professional communication—clear writing and speaking—across teams and management.
    • Solid basic math skills.
    • Comfort with Microsoft Word and Excel and using the web for job-related research; quick to learn new tools.
    • Organization, prioritization, and problem-solving with sharp attention to detail.
    • Independent contributor who thrives in a team, acting with urgency and responsibility.
