Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our chemical manufacturing client. This is an in-office position located in the Magnolia, Arkansas area with up to 20% domestic travel as necessary. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
· Base salary of $135k - $155k DOE plus bonus opportunity and full benefits
· Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 10+ years of experience in a plant/ manufacturing environment
· Maintenance and HSEQ oversight experience required
· Chemical manufacturing industry experience preferred
Responsibilities:
▶ Lead maintenance operations with a focus on HSEQ, reliability, cost control, and continuous improvement, supporting overall plant performance and regulatory requirements.
▶ Oversee all maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant assets.
▶ Analyze critical equipment and processes to identify risks; develop and execute maintenance strategies and contingency plans to mitigate risk.
▶ Establish and manage preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs, including vibration analysis, lubrication, inspections, and condition-based monitoring.
▶ Develop and maintain strong partnerships with contractors and service providers to support routine maintenance, turnarounds, and annual inspection requirements.
▶ Drive technical analysis of existing production processes to identify equipment, process, and instrumentation/control improvement opportunities, including evaluation of alternative technologies or designs.
▶ Measure, track, and report maintenance KPIs such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), maintenance cost, and schedule compliance; use data to prioritize and implement improvements.
▶ Lead investigations into equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement design, process, or procedural changes to prevent recurrence.
▶ Lead the site’s continuous improvement program, including KPI reporting, incident and near miss investigations, root cause analysis, skills training, and continuous improvement teams.
▶ Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, HSEQ, and supply chain teams to ensure maintenance strategies align with production goals and capital project execution.
▶ Support capital projects by providing maintenance input on equipment selection, reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost considerations.
▶ Perform additional duties as required to support site safety, reliability, and business objectives.
Requirements:
▶ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 10+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment
▶ Experience in a Maintenance Manager capacity in a manufacturing or plant environment
▶ Chemical plant / manufacturing experience strongly preferred
