Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire (Conversion Schedule: 520 Hours) Status: Full-Time Start Date: July 9, 2026 End Date: January 4, 2027 Assignment Duration: Approximately 180 Days Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM (Day Shift) Overtime: Not Anticipated
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Plant Janitor to support the cleanliness, safety, and organization of our manufacturing facility. This long-term temporary assignment offers the potential for future full-time employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production and office areas, supporting facility upkeep, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment for all employees.
Hiring Process: In-person interviews are required prior to extending an offer.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness throughout production, warehouse, office, and common areas.
Perform routine janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces.
Organize and maintain the parts room, ensuring materials are properly stored and easily accessible.
Complete light facility maintenance tasks such as installing signs, shelves, and other fixtures.
Operate power washing equipment to clean floors, equipment, and exterior areas.
Perform periodic commercial carpet cleaning.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies; notify management when inventory requires replenishment.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Assist with additional housekeeping and facility support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized facility.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred Skills
Forklift operation experience (preferred but not required).
Experience with power washing equipment and commercial carpet cleaning.
Basic maintenance skills and experience using common hand tools.
Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial facility.
Education Requirement
High School Diploma or GED Required
