    Plant Inventory Specialist

    About the Role

    We're looking for a Plant Inventory Specialist to join our team in Demopolis, Alabama.

    You'll help keep our plant running smoothly by making sure the right parts and materials are available when they're needed. Working closely with plant and procurement teams, you'll manage inventory, maintain accurate records, support purchasing activities, and help improve inventory efficiency and cost control.

    What You'll Do

    • Manage plant equipment and spare-parts inventory.
    • Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing information in our ERP system.
    • Monitor stock levels, reorder points, and physical inventory counts.
    • Investigate and resolve inventory variances.
    • Support the purchasing and expediting of critical parts and materials.
    • Work with suppliers on product availability, pricing, and terms.
    • Partner with plant and procurement teams to support operational needs.
    • Identify opportunities to improve inventory efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Prepare inventory and procurement reports.

    About You

    You'll ideally have:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
    • 3-7 years of experience in inventory, procurement, materials management, manufacturing, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs, along with an understanding of techniques for improving the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Confidence working with computer-based inventory and business systems.
    • Purchasing or lean manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
