    Position

    Objective:

    Provide HR and Administrative support consistently and effectively. Assist Accounting and Safety, Health, Environmental departments enabling them to achieve departmental objectives.

    Administrative

    • Answer phones
    • Entering production batches into LX daily; coordinate with staff accountant to review batch entry and work with production to correct any errors
    • Maintain binder with LX instructions for batch entry and inventory adjustments.
    • Enter receiving.
    • Perform Inventory adjustments as needed to maintain lot control and tracking.
    • Assist Maintenance with Mainsaver software: parts inventory, preventive maintenance records, receiving purchase orders.
    • Assist with the administration of plant safety, health, and environment programs.
    • Create sample order shipment documents.
    • Greet and check-in vendors, drivers, and guests.
    • Schedule meetings
    • Inventory and reorder all office supplies.
    • Inventory and reorder all cafeteria supplies.
    • Point of contact for planning and deployment of hardware/software projects, improvements, and installations
    • Coordinate employee engagement programs off and on-site.
    • Coordinate community involvement programs.
    • Be a note taker for meetings.

    Human Resources

    • Comply with HR policies and procedures.
    • Comply with relevant employee laws.
    • Process new hire paperwork/ on boarding and termination paperwork.
    • Proactively develop and promote trust and open and effective communication between employees, their managers and the Company.
    • Assist in providing effective and ongoing employee training programs.
    • Ensure that Company policies & procedures are complied with and enforced in a consistent manner.
    • Assist all managers with employee relations incidents.
    • Maintain excellent working relations with employees.
    • Assist in the recruiting and onboarding process, ensuring that high quality candidates are recruited and retained.
    • Assist managers regarding employee performance and any deviations in performance that may require disciplinary action.
    • Work with the Plant Leadership Team to establish proactive strategies to facilitate positive employee relations and improve employee engagement.
    • Manage the attendance tracking system.
    • Respond to employee questions regarding benefits and assist them with enrolment.
    • Assist with creating and updating position charters for all positions.
    • Verify payroll for hourly employees.
    • Assist in employee investigations as needed.

    Safety

    • Safety is mandatory for both personal safety and the safety of others.
    • Complete all forms, checklists and documentation required by Company policies and procedures.
    • Help always endorse and maintain a safe culture.
    • Be a safety committee member.
    • Track training, sending out monthly training list, and post training materials on the training board.

    Quality

    • Ensure administrative work is free of errors and done in an efficient manner.

    Other

    • Other duties as assigned.

    A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED

    • Associates degree in HR or business and 1 - 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • High level of confidentiality is required.
    • Ability to maintain composure and pleasant manner under pressure.
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Customer service orientated
    • Ability to work independently and in teams.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Standard office environment.

    • Minimal travel is required.
    • Schedule may vary depending upon plant schedule and if HR presence on shifts is required.
    • Occasional Overtime is required.
