    Position Overview
    We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Plant Health Care Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing turf and plant health care services at customer properties, with a focus on maintaining healthy, pest-free landscapes.

    This position includes applying fertilizers and pesticides, diagnosing and correcting turf issues, and supporting plant health as part of a preventative maintenance program.     This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime.

    What You’ll Do

    Production Management
    Perform plant health care and turf management services at customer properties.
    Provide timely applications of fertilizers, weed control, and other treatments according to service schedules.
    Diagnose and help correct turf and plant health care issues.
    Apply fertilizers and pesticides according to schedule, label instructions, and safety requirements.
    Ensure all applications are completed safely, accurately, and effectively.
    Communicate service updates, site observations, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager.

    Quality Responsibilities
    Demonstrate competent operation and basic maintenance of assigned equipment.
    Follow safety best practices while operating equipment, handling materials, and completing applications.
    Complete required records and documentation for services provided.
    Assist with other service line operations during downtime between applications and treatments.
    Contribute to the organization, cleaning, and basic maintenance of company vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
    Maintain a professional appearance and deliver quality service while working on customer properties.

    What We’re Looking For
    ️ Valid Driver’s License – Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record.
    ️ Pesticide Applicator License – Must have, or be able to obtain as required, a Category A & E Pesticide Applicator License.
    ️ Plant Health Care Knowledge – Experience or interest in turf care, fertilization, weed control, pest management, and plant health services.
    ️ Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to stay organized, follow schedules, and solve basic work-related issues.
    ️ Physical Strength & Stamina – Ability to perform manual labor outdoors, including repeated bending, kneeling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs independently and up to 80 lbs with assistance.
    ️ Communication Skills – Ability to follow instructions, understand job requirements, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
    ️ Equipment Troubleshooting – Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
    ️ Dependability – Reports to work on time and completes assigned tasks promptly, accurately, and professionally.
    ️ Professional Appearance – Maintains personal appearance and grooming standards in alignment with company expectations.
    ️ Safety-Conscious Mindset – Committed to following safety protocols, label instructions, and proper application procedures.

    Your Schedule
    Average Workweek: 8–10 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with possible weekend work during peak season.
    Season: Typically April through October.
    Flexible Hours: Schedule may vary based on weather conditions, customer needs, workload, and application timing.
