Description

Job Summary:
  • Provide accounting and analytical support that plays an integral role in the financial success of the facility.
  • Analyze operational performance and recommend actions to maximize financial returns.
  • Work under the direction of the Controller and Site Leader on a broad range of financial activities.
Key responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation and analysis of operational results, operating trends, customer profitability, capital projects, and incentive plan calculations.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects to help management achieve operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to develop and refine accounting processes and improve process documentation.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis, including interpretation and application of professional standards, company policies, and processes.
  • Prepare journal vouchers and participate in month-end close activities.
  • Perform daily financial activities for the plant, ensuring accurate and timely completion of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Conduct data entry and use systems as tools for research and financial analysis.
  • Complete various reporting requirements in accordance with financial policies and capital investment manuals.
  • Ensure applicable internal controls are followed across all areas of responsibility.
  • Investigate, review, and evaluate financial transactions and recommend appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Review and approve production hours entered into the payroll system, balancing hours and maintaining accuracy.
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general business management principles, internal financial management, and industry practices.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage business leaders at various levels and functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence peers and management.
Preferred qualifications:
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
  • Finance experience in corrugated, printing, packaging, or a related manufacturing environment is a plus.
